Thomas K. Campagna, Esq

Thomas K. Campagna was 2010 President of the Matrimonial Bar Association of Suffolk County; current Director of the Board of Directors of the Matrimonial Bar Association; member of the New York state Bar Association - Family Law Section; member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, member of the Nassau County Bar Association and New York County Bar Association.

He was an invited guest lecturer to speak on issues specifically related to the litigation of divorce and family law matters. He has been the featured guest speaker on the television program, "The Common Law" and has been a guest speaker on television and radio with respect to divorce issues.

Mr. Campagna has been exclusively practicing divorce and family law for over 24 years and possesses extensive experience in litigating and negotiating complex matters in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, child abduction, relocation of a child's residence, child support, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, custody and visitation, spousal maintenance and child support awards, the enforcement of visitation and support Orders, parental alienation, grandparents' visitation, license and professional practice valuations, business evaluations and distribution, support modification proceedings, collection of counsel fees, and expert fees.

His experience includes the representation of accomplished people in the fields of finance, medicine, real estate, business, public service, music, entertainment.  He also regularly represents their spouses.

He has appeared and argued before the New York State Court of Appeals and New York State Appellate Division.  A number of his case decisions have been published in the New York Law Journal as being noteworthy to other matrimonial attorneys.  He was the attorney for the grandmother in the landmark Court of Appeals case, E.S v. P.S, which declared the grandparent visitation statute constitutional; granting meaningful grandparental visitation for the client and ensuring the rights of all grandparents to bring application for visitation of their grandchildren in accordance with the New York state visitation legislation.

Mr. Campagna is familiar with and has litigated in all five boroughs of the City of New York, Nassau and Suffolk Counties and upstate counties in New York State.  Mr. Campagna has successfully negotiated most matters to a fair and reasonable settlement without the need for trial.  However, for those difficult cases in which trial is unavoidable, he has litigated and successfully brought to conclusion myriad cases in the State Supreme and Family Courts. 

Mr. Campagna is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a 1987 graduate of Brooklyn Law School.
